Deleting your Stay & Fish account

You can request deletion of your Stay & Fish member account and associated personal information at any time.

Until an in-account deletion option is available, requests should be sent to:

Please send the request from the email address linked to your Stay & Fish account where possible.

What happens after a deletion request

Stay & Fish may carry out reasonable identity verification before deleting an account in order to protect member information.

Once verified, Stay & Fish will begin the deletion process and remove personal information that is no longer required.

Some information may need to be retained where necessary for:

legal obligations
security investigations
fraud prevention
dispute resolution
enforcement of the Terms of Use
information that has already been lawfully anonymised

Member-created content

Where community, club, journal or social features are available, account deletion may also involve removal or anonymisation of content associated with your account.

Some content that has already been shared with other members may not always be capable of being fully removed from every context, but personal identifiers should be removed where appropriate.

Saved information

Deletion may include information such as:

member profile information
Saved Waters
saved trips
journal entries
catch records
uploaded photographs
account preferences
other member data linked to the account

The exact information removed will depend on which Stay & Fish features you have used.

Authentication records

Deleting your Stay & Fish account may also require deletion of the associated Firebase Authentication account.

After deletion, you will no longer be able to sign in using that account.

Processing time

Deletion requests will be handled within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
